Isaac's observation

On Saturday the kids were hosed off in preparation for church.  Since the downstairs bathroom is not finished yet, which contains the only tub in the house, we give the kids showers.  Fortunately we have a super-large shower upstairs that allows 4 kids and a grown-up to all fit comfortably inside.  Last Saturday Isaac got out of the shower and then burst into tears.  He hadn't hurt himself, so I asked him what was wrong.  In response, he held up his fingers to show me.  He was upset because his fingers were all pruney.  All attempts at reason failed, such as: it's normal, and look, your brothers' fingers are pruney too.  He was inconsolable.

I suppose it would be upsetting to see a part of one's body looking weird when one didn't expect it.  Obviously the past 3 years of bathing just didn't register with him.
