Peter had a doctor's appointment on Thursday. Good news: he's healthy and (even though he's twiggy) growing. Bad news: he should have a handful of words and he can say exactly zip. He babbles just fine, but nothing with meaning. So the doctor wants me to have his hearing tested and have the county evaluate him for speech therapy. Oh boy. Isaac's speech therapist is planning on coming an extra day a week, so if Peter gets another therapist we'll have four days taken up with one therapist or another. And even though I sound grumpy I'm really grateful that the county has these resources for us at no charge. It could always be worse. I'm just hoping that Peter is not going to be a special needs child. I guess only time will tell.
